July 27, 2006 was the Grand Opening of the SHiNE Centre. People began arriving early for the chance to participate in the activities. By 2:00, over 60 had gathered to see the ribbon cutting ceremony. Tours of the Centre continued throughout the afternoon while many families visited in the park and enjoyed the beautiful sunSHiNEy day.
