About School Boards
Generally, but not always, a home education student must register by September 30th of the school year with a school board of their choice.

The school board may be in their area of residence ("resident board") or another accepting school board outside the family's area of residence ("willing non-resident board").
Many families choose to switch from public school to homeschooling mid-year.
